Purpose Contributes to the overall success of the global Cyber Threat Intelligence function ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Accountabilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Able to conduct research and analysis of emerging cyber security threats and assess the potential impact to the Bank. Maintain general awareness of threat landscape in LATAM countries. Strive in creating quality technical papers documenting security threats, risks, and mitigation techniques. Proficient in communicating situational awareness and technical intelligence to internal and external stakeholders and trusted partners. Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Education / Experience / Other Information Possesses advanced communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English and Spanish. (At least B1). Have at least 2 years of hands-on technical working experience in any of the following: network security, information security and/or network support. Have developed capabilities in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. Working knowledge of various network principles, cyber security concepts, investigation procedures, and adversary techniques. Strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Familiar in evaluating and sharing Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) via reports, formal briefs, and threat indicator sharing platforms. Familiar in reviewing and recommending countermeasures across various security controls (IDS, IPS, SIEM, Web Content Filtering, etc.) to identify and detect known threats. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior-level executives as well as technical staff. Broad knowledge of common cyber adversaries, attack vectors, intrusion tactics, and attacker tools. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources, documenting the results, and providing meaningful analysis reports and briefings. Post-secondary education in Computer Science or in a related field. Security certifications (e.g., GSEC, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CompTIA Networking+, ITIL CEH, and OSCP) would be an asset(s).
