What You'll Do at Hatcher CFO Solutions Be part of our client's team as a CFO , where you will lead financial strategies, manage client relationships, and oversee a talented accounting team.
You'll ensure accurate financial reporting, provide actionable insights, and drive business growth.
Employment type: Indefinite term contract Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST Work setup: Onsite in Bogotá or Medellin Your Key Responsibilities: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met consistently and effectively.
Present financial reports and insights during client meetings, providing actionable recommendations aligned with business objectives.
Identify areas for improvement in clients' organizations and financial operations proactively.
Troubleshoot and resolve database synchronization issues in collaboration with vendors, operations, and internal teams.
Lead and mentor a team of Senior Accountants and Bookkeepers, prioritizing tasks for timely and accurate completion of month-end close, payroll, invoicing, bill payments, and ad hoc projects.
Review the team's work for accuracy and compliance, offering feedback and guidance for continuous improvement.
Monitor client deliverables, identifying and addressing challenges or risks that could impact deadlines.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closes by managing and reviewing the work of the accounting team and facilitating clear communication.
Document and communicate changes in client procedures, ensuring proper execution and adherence to updated practices.
Manage team performance by providing regular assessments and supporting their professional growth and development.
Manage time budgets to maintain profitability on client engagements, offering timely analysis and recommendations when needed.
Monitor client financial performance, identifying key trends and risks that may impact operations or goals.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting, reviewing reconciliations and financial statements with attention to detail.
Assist with budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial modeling, providing proactive solutions to enhance financial stability and growth.
Interpret financial data for clients, offering insights to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements What You'll Need to Succeed: Proven management experience in accounting (accounting manager or controllership) with a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and internal teams effectively.
Experience and confidence in working with NetSuite .
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Proactive, innovative, and a strategic thinker.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and team members to meet shared goals.
Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 7+ years of recent accounting experience.
CPA, CFA, or a Master's degree is a bonus.
Tech Stack NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI Adaptive Insights, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Asana, Trello, Monday Google Drive, SharePoint, DocuSign SAP Analytics Cloud, Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications LastPass, 1Password, VPN Solutions SQL, RPA Tools (e.g., UiPath) Additional Qualifications (Plus) Experience in business planning, growth strategies, risk management, or financial forecasting is a bonus.
