Contract Siem Engineer - Onsite In Medellin, Colombia

SIEM Engineering Consultant Location: On-site in Medellin Hourly USD rate: $40 to $50 depending on skills and experience Contract Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension) Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior SOC Consultant to join our team in Medellin, Colombia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SIEM/SOAR technologies, with specific expertise in IBM Qradar and preferably Trellix.
Key Requirements: 3-5 years of experience as a SOC consultant, with preference for senior-level experience High degree of expertise in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) technologies Extensive experience with IBM Qradar Experience with Trellix is a plus Fluency in English (minimum C1 level for both speaking and reading) Must be based in Medellin, Colombia and available for on-site work Responsibilities: Provide expert consultancy on SIEM/SOAR implementation and optimization Lead the configuration and management of IBM Qradar and other relevant security tools Develop and implement security use cases and correlation rules Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on best practices Stay updated on the latest security threats and mitigation strategies Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Additional Information: This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs The role requires on-site presence in our Medellin, Colombia office Qualified candidates who meet these requirements and are passionate about cybersecurity are encouraged to apply.
