University Staff Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome Job Title: Clinical Coordinator (Open Rank: Entry - Intermediate) Position #: 00827290 - Requisition #: 34819 Job Summary: Clinical Coordinators perform clinical research related functions which includes research conducted with human subjects.
This participant-oriented research includes mechanisms of human disease, therapeutic interventions, clinical trials, or the development of new technologies.
Clinical Coordinators may also assist with epidemiologic and behavioral studies and/or outcomes research and health services research.
Key Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day operations of clinical trials and studies Obtain medical history from consented participants, including follow-up for off-site medical records and completion of a participant health survey.
Must be able to reliably transcribe orally reported medical history as written notes. Obtain informed consent and/or assent from study participants and ensure that the process is properly documented, and that informed consent form documents are filed as required. Schedule subject participation in research clinical trials and coordinate the availability of necessary space and clinical research support (e.g., physician, nurse practitioner, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy). Adhere to research regulatory standards. Collect code, and summarize information obtained from research in an accurate and timely manner Master study materials, including but not limited to protocols, informed consent forms, and all other essential study documents for assigned studies Work Location: Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings in Aurora, CO.
(80% onsite, 20% remote)

One (1) year of clinical research or related experience. A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Two (2) years of experience working as a clinical coordinator or in a directly related role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate ability to think conceptually about project design and implementation; anticipate potential problems and study needs. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion. Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as Entry Level: $47,0743 - $60,729 Intermediate Level: $51,956 - $66,088 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
