About the Company: Sagan represents a rapidly growing agtech company that has successfully launched and shipped its first 750 units to customers, with an additional 2,500 units to be shipped in Q1.
Recently featured on Shark Tank, the company is preparing for a seed round to fuel growth in 2025.
Their mission is to empower individuals to grow their own medicine through mushrooms.
Position Overview: As Chief of Staff, you will act as a critical force multiplier for the CEO, directly contributing to the company's growth and operational success.
This role encompasses responsibilities in brand strategy, investor relations, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
It offers significant growth potential and direct exposure to the strategic direction of an early-stage startup.
Key Responsibilities: Brand & External Presence (40%) Collaborate with the CEO and creative teams to enhance the companys digital brand and presence.
Execute content strategies across social media and other platforms, ensuring consistency and timely delivery.
Support PR efforts and coordinate public appearances and communications.
Ensure brand messaging is aligned with company values and mission.
Investor Relations & Research (30%) Conduct market research and develop investor materials.
Assist in managing investor pipelines and communications, ensuring organized follow-ups and reporting.
Support the CEO during the fundraising process by preparing presentations and data-driven insights.
Create compelling narratives for investor engagement and manage fundraising-related assets.
Customer & Community Engagement (20%) Oversee customer communication strategies to build stronger community relations.
Develop and manage customer update programs, including video and email campaigns.
Collaborate with content creators to develop scripts and briefs for company updates.
Lead and mentor customer service representatives, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Operational Excellence (10%) Monitor critical KPIs and maintain dashboards to ensure visibility into financial and marketing metrics.
Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives with the CEO.
Streamline internal processes and implement efficiency improvements.
Lead special projects and manage cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in high-growth startups, consulting, or similar operational roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and experience with financial and marketing metrics.
Proven ability to drive brand development and content strategies.
Strong relationship-building skills with investors and stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
Self-starter with the ability to thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
Passion for agriculture technology and sustainability (preferred).
Nice to Haves: Experience in video content creation or managing creative teams.
Background in digital marketing or PR.
Experience working directly with CEOs or executive leadership.
