Chief Accounting Director

Job Overview The Chief Accounting Director at Mastercard will oversee the preparation of key procedures to support the Corporate Financial Reporting team. This role involves assisting with research of moderate to complex issues, including interpretation of accounting guidance and providing recommendations that are in compliance with US GAAP. Additionally, the Director will lead and oversee compliance activities, as needed, and communicate potential exposures to leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee preparation of key procedures to monthly and quarterly close to support the Corporate Financial Reporting team. Assist with research of moderate to complex issues, including interpretation of accounting guidance and provide Corporate team with recommendations that are in compliance with US GAAP. Lead and oversee compliance activities, as needed, and communicate potential exposures to leadership. Liaise with Regional Controllers on global initiatives to ensure consistency and accuracy in all regions. Requirements Fluent in English. Degree in Accounting; Certification as CPA or equivalent is required. Recognized as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex technical matters, with strong communication and financial acumen.
