The Community Housing Industry Association of Queensland (CHIA Queensland) is the industry peak body for community housing providers in the State. Its members own or manage a $3 billion portfolio of 11,000 social and affordable rental homes across the State.
The housing crisis continues to impact individuals and families in communities across Queensland. There is a commitment from the Government to increase supply across all parts of the housing including an ambitious plan for 53,500 new social homes over the next 20 years.
The community housing industry is poised for growth. Community housing providers rely on CHIA Queensland to engage with, influence and lead government in the design of solutions to increase the supply of social and affordable housing and build a robust, sustainable industry.
Position OverviewThe Chief Executive Officer works with a high level of autonomy in the execution of strategy set in partnership with the Board. The Board is made up of elected member representatives and has an Independent Chair. As a small organisation, the Executive Officer will be able to master the art of leveraging collaboration and partnerships with members and other stakeholders to achieve results.
