What will you doThe Category Buyer II is responsible for:
Supporting the development and execution of category practices for indirect categories (Marketing, IT, HR Services, Travel, Meetings, and Events), including support of sourcing strategy definition, sourcing project execution, and stakeholder alignment.Supporting the execution of the sourcing projects.Acting as the point of interaction between the Regional Category Leaders and the procurement operations team and commercial and supply chain areas.Aligning with stakeholders.Supporting the Regional Category Managers with the identification of stakeholders, the initiation of the strategy development, as well as execution of sourcing projects.Actively engaging with stakeholders as defined in alignment with the Category Managers throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process.Ensuring that the input from the stakeholders is considered in the process.Preparing the stage gate documentation.Supporting the Regional Category Managers in the analysis and definition of the category spend baseline and category profile, including risks assessment and SRM strategy.Supporting development of Go-To-Market and negotiation strategies in alignment with the Category Managers and ensuring proper documentation.Providing support during the supplier screening and supplier selection process.Assisting in the development of RFIs / RFPs.Supporting preparation of supplier communication packages.Supporting Procurement Trainings to stakeholders or users.Preparing negotiation packages based on facts and analysis.Supporting preparation of transition or implementation plan.Performing sourcing activities.Performing Category Manager activities for projects with limited complexity.Managing the procurement strategy implementation/sourcing execution for a less complex category.Driving supplier performance by discussing lessons learned from one region and ensuring that the supplier builds on those lessons learned to improve service levels in another country or region.Executing end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categories.Participating in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) in collaboration with Category Managers.Performing supplier selection and fact-based negotiations, validated by the Category Manager.Involving the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation and follow-up.Conducting spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process.Continuously tracking forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Value Tracking Process for category in scope, defining corrective/optimization actions if needed, and following up on them (escalate to Category Manager if needed).Acting as an interface to Operations and commercial and supply chain teams and interacting with them.Providing insights on Procurement analytics and data to support the development of the new projects.Escalating issues to the Category Manager.What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications The candidate must have a University Degree in a Major Discipline (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics).The candidate should have a good English level, both written and spoken.Experience: 3-6 years' professional experience in indirect categories or other related positions, preferably knowledge of categories at hand and working in a multicultural environment; good experience with supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting area is necessary.Experience with data analysis and proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
