The Team We are the CRM, Sales & Branch Performance engineering team, part of Customer Servicing engineering in Scotia Digital, focused on providing solutions that assist front line staff across channels in deepening relationship with our customers, providing better service and offering better products to them, and help improve sales & productivity along the way.
The group is a mix of architects, technology leads, business systems analysts, designers, SMEs, developers and testers who innovate and transform, develop customer servicing technology roadmaps, ensure end-to-end project delivery, support day to day operations, write technical stories, develop and test code, manage stakeholders and related teams.
The role: As a Business Solutions Specialist, you will help in the successful delivery of software solutions within Canadian Digital Banking.
You will collaborate with the stakeholders to identify business problems and propose solutions, identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiencies.
You will also provide impact assessment and estimation, identify risks, issues, reporting and governance of the projects and production related activities.

Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements, and turn them into use cases, user stories, sequence diagrams, etc.
to meet development and business requirements.
Take the lead in a joint application design solutioning sessions with our architecture, development, and product owners to provide high-level estimates for large and medium-sized incoming initiatives.
Analyze and develop technical requirements based on solution documentation.
Ensure integrity of the business and technical requirements in the end-to-end customer journey.
Lead enterprise process engineering development across infrastructure, Security, DevOps and cryptography teams.
Create, refine and maintain the product backlog and associated deliverables; release backlog with forecasted delivery timelines.
Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (such as reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints.)
Help improve and drive our engineering practices by providing valuable inputs and suggestions as to what works well and what can be done better Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Provide stakeholder and executive communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and relationship building.
Take the lead in resolving production problems and deployment of bug fixes.
Assist in architecture and designs of solutions.
Assist Senior Management with various tasks such as creation of roadmaps, resource and capacity planning, team coordination, etc.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a challenging IT system solution environment.
Highly experienced in creating BSA artifacts – user stories, sequence diagrams, data flows, etc.
Experience and good knowledge of software delivery practices, disciplines, tools, and methodologies.
Knowledge in Scrum master/delivery lead capacity Detail Oriented.
Must have the ability to multi-task and work on multiple initiatives at the same time.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science degree, and pride yourself on analysis, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
