What can you expect in a "Business Intelligence Analyst" role with TaskUs: TaskUs is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with expertise in transforming data into insight within the social science field. A successful candidate has experience in working with sensitive data, will provide significant insights in study design and data analysis that matches the research objectives. This role requires the capability to transform and analyze large and complex datasets generated from multiple sources that result in identification of trends that solve real world problems that inform and change the industry. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the lead data scientist as well as the Director of Global Research and Data to produce mandated data reporting for clients. Work with behavioral scientists to develop and conduct key research studies while following established human subject research guidelines and study protocols. Receive, inspect, validate, transform, clean, and load data received in a variety of formats (e.g., Excel, CVS, Amazon Redshift, API Connections, Web Connectors) from multiple sources. Ensure data quality, pay attention to detail, clean and check existing data for consistency and accuracy. Conduct data standardization processes, proactively identify and propose alternatives to improve the stability, performance, and accuracy of the data. Work with Data Engineers to automate data pipelines for medium to large scale projects. Own data inputs and outputs into our platform. Serve as the expert on integrating customer data into our platform, with an in-depth understanding of our data requirements. Develop data visualizations and prepare reports, charts, graphs for both diverse internal and external audiences. Collaborate on cross-functional projects, coordinate across departments and geos, and work in a larger team to ensure business impact. With support from your leader, prioritize projects that vary in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodology across multiple work streams, making sure to work on the right project at the right time. With support from your leader, manage timelines and stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth implementation and timely completion of projects. Balance the need for quick turnaround with longer-term strategic efforts. Work outside of traditional working hours and travel as needed to collaborate with international stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. At least 2 years hands-on experience in Power BI or other foundational Power BI applications such as Power Pivot. Same length of experience in Tableau, Qlikview, Business Objects can be considered. At least 2 years of exposure to ETL, databases / data warehouse that relates to developing reports using Power BI. Programming background preferably in SQL, Python, R. Strong understanding of M-Query, DAX (Data Analysis Expression). Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the 'bigger picture'. Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and data visualization.
