Learn more about us at JOB OVERVIEW Reporting to the Outbound Sales Business Manager, you will be focused on cold outreach and your primary responsibility is to generate new business opportunities by identifying and doing light pre-qualifying of prospects over the phone, email and LinkedIn. You will be the first point of contact between the company and prospective clients. The role requires the discipline to make many cold calls and to send many emails and LinkedIn messages. By discovering business problems and delivering a compelling pitch, you'll be setting up appointments for us to close. The successful candidate is an energetic and clear communicator, preferably with cold calling experience. We are looking for an individual who has a proven record of being successful at doing hard things well, is a good listener and can drive effective and efficient business conversations. The candidate must possess a history of being able to stay disciplined in a hard job or project and the capacity to problem-solve, particularly in a fast-paced environment. This individual will have a cheerful "can-do" attitude and is able to seek opportunities for self-development and continuing education. They are detail-oriented and enjoy conducting research to be able to communicate a clear picture to team members. They can balance the attention to detail and precision that business development requires while being a warm, understanding, and kind person whom others find to be easy to relate to and trust. RESPONSIBILITIES Research areas of interest for key decision makers and potential routes to engage them. Consistently and professionally follow up through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels uncovered during research. Ability and confidence to ask prospects good questions to understand their current state and desired future state. Schedule qualified meetings and deliver clear, well-structured handover notes based on initial conversations. Work within our CRM, HubSpot, to update all lead information accurately and keep records of calls and sales (as well as other useful information). Go the "extra mile" to meet meetings quota and facilitate future sales. Listen and take feedback from the Outbound Sales Manager and the Principal Consultant to improve performance. Collaborate with team members to improve processes, share tips and best practices in all aspects of the job. QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS 1-3 years of proven experience in Outbound Business Development. Demonstrable track record of achievement in jobs or projects that require hard work and discipline. Experience and proficiency in high pressure, competitive situations. Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRMs like HubSpot or similar). Skilled in starting conversations, keeping it engaging and in handling objections. A focus on continuous improvement and learning. Proactive individual, comfortable working independently, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
