Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for the sales teams to pursue.This remote role is pivotal in generating new business opportunities by executing thoughtful outreach and strategic engagement with potential customers that is driven from marketing-generated demand.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for sales, ability for identifying potential leads, and develop and implement innovative outreach strategies.This role will generate demand primarily via outbound tele-prospecting in an assigned territory but can use a spectrum of tactics including email and social media.
You will be responsible for actively seeking new opportunities by contacting and establishing relationships with potential customers.
This person will play an important role in actively assisting the Marketing team in creating marketing strategies and tactics that will drive sales.Specific responsibilities will include:Generating new demand for the sales organization to pursue through qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, contact potential customers through cold calls and emails.
Proactively seeking new business opportunities across our target marketQualifying demand against established criteria before passing a qualified lead, or opportunity, to sales.
Processing and validating inbound leads using a range of tacticsResearching and building out additional personas or members of a buying group that may be involved in the buying decision and share this with sales.
Having meaningful, productive conversations with individuals representing the buyer personasNurturing predetermined groups of prospects back from sales by using multiple touch tacticsComplying with all demand management–related service-level agreementsReporting on agreed metrics on a weekly basis by providing accurate weekly forecasts on the volume of qualified demand and progressing toward the established service-level agreement and performance metricsTracking and managing prospecting, qualification, and nurture activities in the company's CRMSetting up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Account ExecutivesStaying updated with Anthology's products and servicesThe Candidate:Required skills/qualifications:5-8 years of sales experienceProven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar roleHands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)Track record of achieving sales quotasExperience with CRM software (e.g.
Salesforce) and ABM (e.g.
6Sense)Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)Understanding of sales performance metricsStrong knowledge of digital selling strategies Excellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong process orientation and data analysis experienceMust be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environmentExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and shift workload to meet deadlinesFluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or abovePreferred skills/qualifications:Education industry experience is valued but not essentialExperience with the B2B sales and marketing growth services Familiar with SaaS sales cycles Experience with ABX sales/marketing strategiesThis job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
