Classification: Austrade Overseas Performance Level C (AOPL C) Location: Bogota, Colombia Salary: Starting salary from COP 112,130,116 (per annum) The role: The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is looking for an Education Business Development Manager based in Bogota, Colombia, to promote education opportunities for students from Colombia. Working as part of the Latin America Education team, the Education Business Development Manager will identify and capture opportunities to grow Australia's education market share in Colombia, with a focus on student recruitment activities. In this student recruitment role, you will develop and maintain extensive networks with stakeholders, especially from education and scholarship providers, education agents, alumni, government and local universities. You will promote and advance the interests in market of Australia's international education and training and research sectors, as part of the country's trade strategies; support local market events and engagement. Duties include: Lead Australian Government engagement with in-market stakeholders and constantly develop new contacts and networks across education and other sectors in the Americas to facilitate education and training exports. Deliver in market communication and engagement strategy, including developing content and managing digital and social media campaigns on Austrade and Embassy social media channels. Plan, coordinate and implement international education activities such as face-to-face and digital exhibitions, agent, and prospective student briefings and in bound market visits supporting Australian education providers across different education sectors. Support marketing efforts by delivering services to Australia's education providers in the ELICOS, VET and HE sectors, such as attending pre-departure briefings, providing on-the-ground support to visiting delegations, making presence at exhibitions, arranging and participation in meetings and networking functions and undertaking follow-up. Advise on strategy development to attract international students, develop commercial partnerships, and promote education and training-related exports. Provide data and market informed strategic advice to Australian education and training and state government representatives seeking to develop business relationships and strategic alliances with local stakeholders and government agencies. Provide support and work collaboratively with Australian education representatives based in market. Manage changing workloads with flexibility and efficiency while balancing responsibility for education, research and other industry portfolios and large numbers of clients. Apply Australian Government business practices and maintain accuracy of information in business systems to deliver accurate and timely reporting and relationship management whilst upholding the Code of Conduct. Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration and appointment you must have: Work Authorisation: to be eligible for employment with Austrade in Colombia, candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in Colombia at the time of appointment. Language: the successful candidate must be a highly motivated team member, fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish. Security Clearance: the successful applicant must be willing to complete an Entry Level Screening Pack and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources prior to commencement in the role.
