Job Summary We are now seeking a Business Development Director, an expert to develop and drive the growth by developing new customers and new business, through new strategic partnerships to meet business needs and requirements in alignment with Tetra Pak's overall strategy. In this position, you will lead the Business Development (BD) team across the Andean region. You will secure business growth through new customers or new business by identifying opportunities in existing and non-existing customers throughout the region. The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia and reports to the Andean Managing Director. You will be travelling 50% of your time to potential or existing customers. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. What you will do Be responsible for strategy development and deployment for the business in strategic customers in the Andean region, having a strong focus on Packaging, but dealing with the full E2E business (Services and Processing too). Lead and develop the BD and sales team to drive the profitable growth of the business. Close major deals and sign major contracts to drive growth. Ensure strategic alignment with all support areas (Supply chain, Marketing, Sustainability, Finance) to help deliver on goals. Lead decisions in terms of Sales Forecasting (CE and PM planning). Drive Value Selling. Be an active contributor as a member of the market company management team, market strategy, 3-year plans, commercial process maturities, and capabilities. All of the above have to be supported with a strong ability to develop long-term relationships (customer centricity and focus). Continuous hunting approach to drive business and results. We believe you have Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, marketing or engineering is required. MBA preferred. At least ten years of experience in sales. Native Spanish and Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Good command of finance and forecasting. Ability to naturally deal with challenging stakeholders and work cross-functionally in a seamless way. Demonstrable skills in Value Selling, Account Management, commercial approach, and strong communication skills. Strong business and team leader, with strong customer focus, strategic agility, and ability to deal with ambiguity. Solid leadership skills to develop high-performing teams.
