Your mission is to support Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland by leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and make a meaningful impact on the residents of these islands. Your challenge as Business Analyst Tax You play a key role in renewing the current tax and self-service system for Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland. This involves complex analyses and requires tax domain knowledge. You will be the essential bridge between the client and the development team, translating business needs into solution requirements. You regularly work on-site with the client on Bonaire and collaborate closely with our international development team. Key responsibilities: System renewal: You will be deeply involved in modernizing the tax and self-service system. This requires conducting extensive analyses to ensure all necessary functionalities and system interconnections are addressed effectively. Tax domain expertise: Your understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements will allow you to offer critical insights during system development, ensuring all functionalities align with current tax rules and legal compliance is maintained. System knowledge: You obtain and demonstrate a strong grasp of the current application, its architecture, and its relationships with other systems, enabling you to find and apply relevant information efficiently when needed. Stakeholder engagement: You will organize regular sessions with the client to discuss their needs and expectations, verify and validate requirements, answer questions, and serve as a key contact for feedback and guidance. Elicitation of pertinent information: You ask the right questions to capture essential information and requirements from the client. You will compile and maintain overviews, summaries, and presentations to ensure smooth session preparation. Analysis and documentation: You will analyze inputs from various stakeholders and transform them into a clear, coherent narrative that can be acted upon by the development team. Up-to-date with legislation: You stay informed on the latest legal changes, researching relevant sources like tax laws and policies. You will ensure this information is clearly communicated to both the client and the development team to maintain compliance. Development team partner: You will collaborate closely with the development team. You have 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within the tax domain. You have experience in IT and software. You are familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and have experience working within these frameworks. You are a resident of Curaçao or Bonaire or are open to relocating. You are proficient in both written and verbal communication in Dutch and English; knowledge of Papiamentu is a plus. A big advantage if you hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or similar.
