Job Description This is a remote position.
Schedule: 20 hours per week, 10 AM to 2 PM (10:00 PM to 2:00 AM Manila Time) Monday to Friday and can move to flexible hours in the future Client Time : New Brunswick, CA Time Client Overview Join a thriving multi-channel retail business specializing in stylish furniture, lighting, and home decor.

Job Description As a Bookkeeper for this dynamic retail operation, you'll play a crucial role in managing daily financial activities across multiple sales channels.
You'll handle complex transactions, reconcile accounts, and provide valuable insights to drive business growth.
This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge e-commerce systems and modern accounting tools, allowing you to expand your skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
You'll collaborate closely with the owners, contributing directly to the company's financial strategy and success.
Responsibilities Perform daily reconciliations for multiple bank and credit card accounts Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently Process bi-weekly payroll for staff and owners Prepare and file quarterly HST returns and monthly PST remittances for British Columbia Integrate and reconcile Shopify data with QuickBooks Online Generate monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets Provide strategic financial insights and advise on inventory tracking Handle complex sales transactions involving multiple invoices Assist in creating and maintaining accurate cash flow statements Optimize financial processes to support business growth Requirements 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Shopify integration Strong understanding of Canadian tax requirements, including HST and PST Experience with multi-channel retail businesses and complex transaction management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective communication skills for providing financial insights Ability to work 4 hours per day, 5 days a week (20 hours total) Flexibility to attend weekly meetings with business owners Comfortable with remote work and virtual collaboration tools IMPORTANT!!
