Job Summary: The Bookkeeper Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the bookkeeping department, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with established procedures. This role involves supervising a team of bookkeepers, managing financial reports, and providing support to management on financial matters. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor a team of bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their work. Review and approve financial statements, ledgers, and reports to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Manage payroll processing, including timekeeping, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in the accounting system. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy. Prepare and present reports on financial performance to management. Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit procedures. Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to maintain compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with 4 years in a supervisory role. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
