POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in trust accounting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with a proven track record of managing financial records accurately and efficiently. Experience in the vacation rental industry is highly desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities: Trust Accounting: Maintain and manage trust accounts in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Journal Entries: Accurately journal all expenses, revenues, and other financial transactions. Vendor Payments: Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors, reconciling any discrepancies. Client Accounts: Record payments and post against client accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Owner Statements: Generate and distribute accurate and comprehensive statements for property owners. Financial Reports: Produce highly accurate profit and loss statements (P&L), balance sheets, and other financial reports as needed. Expense Tracking: Monitor and track all company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and categorization. Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of four years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of trust accounting principles and practicespreferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel. Experience in the vacation rental or property management industry is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Monthly Salary: $1,000 - $2,000
