Job Summary
Seth & Alexander, a USA-based firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting the company's outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Collections Management:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve issues related to unpaid invoices.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions.
- Update customer accounts with payment information and status changes.
- Prepare and maintain various reports on collection activities and status of accounts.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payments.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to address and resolve issues.
- Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payment and foster goodwill.
- Provide excellent customer service and support during the collections process.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and legal requirements related to collections.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related field preferred.
- Experience in a similar industry is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- High English Proficiency. (Speak, Read, Write) (C1-C3)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and CRM systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
