Backend Engineer

About This Role: We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team here at Emotive.
This person has to love the startup grind and hustle of getting things done quickly, but also without sacrificing the longevity of the technology.

This comes along with mentoring less experienced engineers, interviewing candidates, and selflessly doing whatever it takes to move the company forward.
In some cases, this may include dealing with customers :) How You Will Contribute: 1.
Organize full lifecycle software development 2.
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code 3.
Work alongside and effectively coordinate with other engineers on the team 4.
Come up with procedures and frameworks to avoid technical debt 5.
Create efficient architectural and database design 6.
Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics 7.
Help other engineers excel in their job and in their careers 8.
Create amazing things that scale!
Skills You Will Bring: 1.
5+ years' professional software development experience 2.
Significant experience in developing web applications using Python and Django 3.
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and ORM technologies (Django ORM and SqlAlchemy) 4.
Experience utilizing cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
Bonus Points: 1.
Experience utilizing telecommunication services such as Twilio.
2.
Experience with messaging queues and task managers such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Celery/Kafka, and SQS.
