You will possess advanced technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio. Client Focus - Deliver on Our Promise: You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities. You will be responsible for key client relationship management, and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan. Overseeing project timeframes and project budgets, and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges and mitigations. On behalf of external/third-party clients overseeing the project management of the project/s on an individual and team basis from inception to post-completion. Ensuring the successful delivery of the project in line with all stakeholders' expectations communicating strategies to the wider client/ consultant/contractor team. Promoting Mace's value of safety first, exhibiting visible safety behaviours, sharing lessons learned and using safety moments and Mace's HSW framework. Supporting the safety and wellbeing of all Mace staff. Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of the broader Mace projects. Overseeing management of the client and consultant team and all external/project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of the project in line with client expectations. Actively driving collaboration between all parties. Producing design and authorities programme to be integrated with procurement and delivery programme. Managing the timely delivery to programme from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones. Managing the timely sequencing/methodology and production of staging plans. Performing two to five of the following non-project related roles; such as business reporting, pipeline management, bidding, business development, resourcing, commercial strategy and maximising our commercial position, managing Mace contract, contract extensions, cross-selling, invoicing, debt collection and P&L responsibility and other as directed by the senior leadership team. Aligning to strategy to place construction to production, digital and data, service excellence, quality, assurance and sustainability at the heart of our delivery. Partnering with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in collaboration to implement strategy/programmes/initiatives. Managing, influencing and negotiating with key senior external stakeholders (up to c-suite). Actively networking and seeking understanding of best practice, utilizing the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, mace way control centre and knowledge hub. Delivering continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Managing a number of senior managers, managers and assistant managers. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You will provide expert technical advice and leadership support to delivery teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities. You'll need to have: Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium/large sized projects. Experience developing budgetary oversight expertise. Experience developing proficiency in coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders. Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices. Proven problem solving and analytical skills across estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting for planning, estimating, contract administration and procurement issues for various procedural, construction and design activities. Ensure project risks are effectively identified, mitigated and managed, including the proactive management of the early warning process. Developing bidding, business development and/or account growth capabilities. Strong commercial and financial skills and an ability to build up fee proposals and oversee project workbooks. Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific industry of project/role. Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s. Sound technical expertise in health and safety executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio. Developing a reputation across the relevant sector / market and operating at the highest level of compliance. Seeks opportunities for implementing improved working practices. Excellent communicator and relationship manager. Confident presenter and public speaker; ability to capture the audience and clearly transmit the position / message. Effective appraisal/analytical skills to support skilled negotiations, problem solving, or conflict resolution. Develops and maintains excellent professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the relevant centre of excellence. Growth mindset that promotes curiosity, high quality contribution and team collaboration. Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders. MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE (or local equivalent). Experience in the successful construction delivery phase of projects and programmes. Demonstrable evidence of deep project management expertise. Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge. Appropriate construction skills certification scheme (CSCS) card (or equivalent local safety certification).
