Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Prepare detailed reports or bids for management, client, or regulatory agencies.
Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
Use specialized software to create and optimize cost estimates.
Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in residential architecture and construction.
Attend virtual meetings with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss cost estimates and budgetary concerns.
Adjust estimates and budgets as needed based on actual project progression.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Highly Regarded Skills and Experience: Experience in residential architecture and construction estimating.
Familiarity with financial and project management software.
Prior experience in a similar remote role.
Strong understanding of the local market, suppliers, and pricing strategies.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
