The Latin America Andean Region Polyurethanes commercial organization has an opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist role based in Bogota, Colombia.

Responsibilities / Duties

1. Maintain and expand the account portfolio and Dow presence in the region.
2. Understand the customer needs to differentiate Dow and gain share market.
3. Search new product development opportunities within the market.
4. Maintain customer relationships and expand network to different levels within a customer's organization.
5. Leads and coordinates customer relationships working to understand customer needs and identify potential new customers.
6. Execute sales/marketing plan, delivering in volume and value. Develop the sales plan aligned to the marketing plan in coordination with other functions.
7. Develop sales forecasts in coordination with Production and Supply Chain.
8. Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
9. Get and research data to take decisions about new product development.
10.
Leads and conducts negotiations and develops and implements price strategies aligned with business goals considering legal implications, customs regulations and Dow sales processes.
11. Input information in CRM and SmartPrice providing the required documentation aligned to the Dow sales processes.
12. Collaborates with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.
13. Manages Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Negotiation and sales tactics
- Solid understanding of products and product applications
- Solid business and financial acumen (cost, freight, margin, etc.)
- Proactive hunter with 'owner's mindset' & excellent cold calling skills; self-driven and efficient
- Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications


- Fluency in English (verbally and in writing)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 3+ years of chemical industry commercial related experience.
