The United States Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Test, Training, and Exercise (TTE) Analyst. This is a non-supervisory position. The incumbent serves as a lead planner and exercise design subject matter expert for continuity and life safety exercises. Work includes coordinating with Senate and Legislative Branch partners and managing assigned exercises. This includes initial planning, recommending objectives, managing resources, developing supporting materials, and compiling after-action reports. The applicant must be familiar with the principals of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with audiences ranging from staff through executive level, possess well developed interpersonal skills, and have a demonstrated history of quality customer service in a highly demanding environment. The successful candidate must be able to assess, recommend, and develop plans and processes that contribute to exercise program governance which ensure the highest levels of program support and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Job Duties
Applies knowledge and experience of subject matter within the domains of security, emergency preparedness, and continuity. Conducts basic analysis and research with sufficient fidelity to make recommendations for decision-making. Maintains situational awareness of subject matter within scope of directorate. Develops and presents analytic products with audience-appropriate delivery. Prepares written reports to examine products and services, identify issues, and design concepts for operational use. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Other Duties/ Responsibilities Required to be available at all times for sudden recall in response to emergency events affecting the Senate campus/community, and deployment to alternate locations for up to 30 days. Required Work Experience 3 years. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge Microsoft Office suite utilization.Time and project management competency in support of essential Senate functions.Technical writing and oral communications proficiency.

Working Conditions Since this position requires onsite presence in support of the U.S. Senate when in session, this position requires the employee to be available and prepared to work during government shutdowns, in inclement weather, on holidays, and during late night, overnight, and weekend sessions. In the context of government furloughs, this position is considered excepted.This position directly supports essential services of the U.S. Senate. As such, this position requires the employee be available and prepared to work during government shutdowns, in inclement weather, on holidays, weekends, and during late nights to ensure essential services to the Senate continue without interruption. In the context of government furloughs, this position is considered excepted.Sedentary (carrying items less than 25 pounds) Security Clearance This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI U.S. Government security clearance.Applicants must be U.S. citizens in order for the SAA to submit your application for a security clearance.
