AMERICAS Regional Travel Manager Job Title: AMERICAS Regional Travel Manager Position Type: Permanent Location: Bogota, Colombia Job Family: Travel Management You will work in the Group Travel Management organization. We manage the Amadeus Business Travel program worldwide, enabling travel for all employees by deploying travel management and expense solutions, defining policies and processes, and providing round-the-clock support to travelers. We aim to find the right balance between the best traveler experience and the most cost-efficient traveling alternatives. Proper processes to handle payments to our travel vendors is another key responsibility. As the next Regional Travel Manager for the AMERICAS, your role will involve the regional/local implementation of the Amadeus Global Travel Program towards all stakeholders: Implementation & maintenance of global travel guidelines and solutions Operational management of local/regional travel providers Maintenance of effective and cost-efficient travel processes (from booking to travel vendor payment) Performance of required duty of care responsibilities Understanding of local/regional corporate travel behaviors through reporting In this role you'll: Enable business travel continuity for all AMERICAS travelers Pilot new travel management solutions to foster innovation Interact with various travel industry stakeholders Be part of an international team based in different locations About the Ideal Candidate: University Degree in Tourism, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration. Certified Travel Manager is a plus. 4 years' experience in Corporate Travel Departments (preferably in large corporations) and/or Business Travel Providers. 4 years' experience as a travel agent (preferably in a global company like Amex GBT, BCD, CWT, or FCM). Project Management Experience is a plus. High experience in using databases as a working tool. Deep knowledge of the Travel Industry sector, especially the travel agency side. General knowledge of Amadeus fundamentals: history, business, product offer, strategy, technology, and organization. Global Corporate Travel processes and procedures (bookings, changes, cancellations, etc.). General knowledge about practices related to the development, testing, and implementation of Amadeus products. Management of travel payment methods (Amex BTAs, lodge cards, virtual credit cards, etc.). Familiarity with airline distribution channels (EDIFACT, NDC) as well as pricing from travel vendors. Must Have: Strong working knowledge of GDSs, online booking tools, and back office travel systems. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Travel Risk Management and Travel Tracking tools Implementation of travel platforms and applications Database Management Analytical and presentation skills Strong communication, coordination, and customer service skills Change management and ability to influence others Strong organizational skills Curious, quick learner, and proactive High customer service focus Gen.
