About the Position Our client is in search of an Accounting Specialist to manage essential financial tasks such as creating the monthly financial statements, transaction reconciliation, bookkeeping, invoice creation, and potentially assisting with tax responsibilities. Candidates should be experienced with e-commerce tools like Xero, A2X, and Taxjar, and have familiarity with the Amazon ecosystem. This role requires excellent English communication skills, as it is the working language of the team. Responsibilities Transaction Management: Accurate reconciliation and recording of financial transactions. Creating the monthly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. Bookkeeping: Maintaining clear and up-to-date financial records and ledgers. Invoice Creation: Producing accurate invoices for transactions involving goods and services. Tax Assistance: Supporting sales tax management and the preparation of tax returns if capable. Qualifications Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, in an e-commerce/retail setting (HIGHLY preferred) . Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using Xero, A2X, Taxjar, and similar e-commerce accounting tools. Language: Fluent in English; accent is not a consideration. Scope of Work Core Accounting Tasks: Oversee all primary accounting and bookkeeping duties. Sales Tax Duties: Potentially manage sales tax filings independently using Taxjar. Additional Tax Duties: Assist with tax returns if qualified, enhancing budget flexibility. Exclusions: No responsibilities related to payroll management are included in this role.
