Position: Accountant Associate
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00am-7:00 CST

Position Summary
As an Associate, Accounting, you will report to the Vice President, Corporate Finance and will assist in various finance and accounting functions. Primarily, the Associate will be responsible for corporate accounting and accounts payable. This is a demanding position in a fast-paced environment and best suited for a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and multi-task effectively. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, willing to take initiative and capable of working cooperatively in a team setting.
She or he should also demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity and creativity in problem-solving.
Responsibilities
1. Organize and maintain books and records for the management company.
2. Vendor management and invoice processing for corporate accounting.
3. Accounts Payable processing and management for corporate accounting.
4. Cash management including timely payment of invoices, bank account set up and corporate card management.
5. Assist with audit preparation and procedures for the management company.
6. Assist with financial planning and analysis for the management company.
7. Assist quarterly fund financial statement review.
8. Review tax documents including partnership returns, K-1s, state returns, etc.
9. Assist in reviewing and maintaining investor portal.
10. Prepare monthly financial statements for select entities.
11. Assist with special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
1. Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred (Master's/MBA a plus).
2. 1 year experience in corporate accounting according to US GAAP.
3.
Experience in fund accounting environment is preferred.
4. Private equity and/or real estate fund accounting experience are highly desirable but not required.
5. Strong reconciliation and research skills over a broad range of accounts.
6. Proficient in portfolio accounting systems, Excel, and other MS Office software products.
7. Experience with Workday preferred but not required.
