Position: Pre-Litigation Paralegal Shift Days and Hours: Monday - Friday | 9 AM - 7 PM CST Job Description: A Pre-Litigation Paralegal assists attorneys in the early stages of legal disputes, focusing on gathering and organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and communicating with clients and opposing counsel. This role is crucial in preparing cases for potential litigation. Responsibilities: Case Intake and Management: Conduct initial client interviews and gather relevant information. Evidence Collection: Gather and organize evidence, including medical records, police reports, and witness statements. Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents. Document Preparation: Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and other pre-litigation documents. Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients to provide updates and gather additional information. Coordination with Opposing Counsel: Communicate with opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and exchange information. Administrative Duties: Manage case files, calendar deadlines, and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Skills and Qualifications - Hard and Soft Skills: Education: Associates degree in paralegal studies or a related field; certification preferred. Experience: Experience in pre-litigation or litigation support; familiarity with personal injury, employment, or other relevant legal areas.
