MISSIONS: Directing and providing overall engineering leadership to the contractor's technical team to deliver the railways systems technical solution and meet contractual requirements within agreed timescales and performance parameters with transversal technical knowledge on railways systems disciplines as Medium voltage and traction power supply Catenary Depo Equipment Telecommunications Alarms Fire detection systems CCTV Access control SCADA Infrastructure Control System (CCIF) SCADA Energy Management System (EMS) Telephone and interphony Signaling + Traffic Management System (SGT) Public address systems (PAS) Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Telecommunications network (MAN-LAN) Passenger Information System (PAS) Tetra RAMS O&M EMI/EMC Key Responsibilities Participating in design review meetings with the contractor, the client and/or consultant, ensuring all system specifications measures are accomplished. Monitoring and supervising the system designs, providing the necessary guidance to the project engineers. Developing and completing actions in regard with system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and other project disciplines. Reviewing the design submissions and assisting in resolving critical design issues Monitoring and reporting progress reports against schedule, budget, specifications, and service standards Liaising with the client, regulatory bodies, customer subcontractor and all other stakeholders and, to manage the internal interface between client, the project team members and the suppliers. Leading a technical team, implementing a culture of achievement, continuous improvement, and best practices In addition, during project construction phase Oversee the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Assessment Supervise the System Integration Tests and the Planning and lead the Trial Operation Period. Manage a team of T&C engineers who will supervise the contractors' testing activities in liaison with the discipline leads. Liaise with system assurance to ensure smooth and safe integration. Review and Provide feedback on T&C documentations provided by contractors: plans, program, procedures, reports, mitigations. Generate action lists during tests and ensure corrective actions are in place. PROFILE: Bachelor or higher-level qualifications in a relevant/related Engineering discipline or Systems Engineering is essential. 10-15 years' experience in a Rail Signaling, or Control Systems / Traffic Management Systems, or modern Train Control technologies (e.g., ETCS, CBTC). Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills all levels. Successful relevant experience in a complex project environment including demonstrable experience in team management, planning, contracting and delivery of projects. Proven project delivery skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse, multi-disciplinary, cross-organizational and international environment. Skills in managing competing priorities and working under pressure.
