We are looking for a Transport planner leader to join our Bogota office. We seek an individual with technical expertise, experience, and motivation to manage a team and deliver innovative solutions. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of transportation/engineering experience. The opportunity Leading Arup transport planning team in Colombia Leading a variety of planning, development and transportation infrastructure projects including Multimodal Transportation Plans and Master Plans, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies Transportation & Land Use Studies, Transit Planning & Operations Analysis. Serving as Project Manager and/or Deputy Project Manager for the day-to-day client liaison for specific projects while achieving positive commercial results. Leading proposals, outputs, and presentations to public and private sector clients in Colombia and Latin America Coordinating diverse tasks in small, medium and large, complex, long-term projects – working with many different people/facilities/resources etc. within time and budget. Contributing and leading business development activities while building and extending a network of clients. Working in partnership with other teams supporting large infrastructure projects where transport is a needed component. Contributing to building a dynamic, responsible, and innovative transport team and supporting the development of junior staff. Executing responsibilities as outlined in the firm's Quality Management System. The skills Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Transport Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience and a minimum of 6 years as a transport engineer/ planner and/or transport infrastructure engineer/specialist Experience in deal-project structuring of public transport systems (rail, bus or BRT) and in transport master planning projects; rail project experience is a plus. Experience with transport/infrastructure related technical analysis/capabilities including traffic capacity analysis, demand forecasting and economic appraisal. Knowledge of regional and international transport planning and socioeconomic best-practices. Advanced level written, verbal, presentation and communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels in English and Spanish is essential.
