about Anthology and our career opportunities, please visit .The Anthology Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team works across the entire organization to create and manage effective center-led procurement processes, enhance vendor relationships, and partner with internal clients to ensure cost effective vendor contracts.This position is principally responsible for helping drive the transformation of the procurement efforts into a cost-effective and process-efficient best practices function serving the entire company.Primary responsibilities will include:Vendor Contracting (80%)With a minimum of management oversight:Reviewing and analyzing requests from business partners for global vendor contracting support, including new vendors, new services with existing vendors, and renewals with existing vendors, written primarily in EnglishIdentifying contract gaps against Anthology vendor contract standards and industry best practicesConducting Deal Review activities in compliance with current corporate policy and in accordance with existing processesAligning all internal stakeholders for completion of Deal Review activities including Legal, Security, Privacy, FP&A, Treasury, IT, and/or HR teamsConducting commercial terms review and assisting business partners with:Developing negotiation strategy for contracts with guidance from Procurement ManagementAssisting in negotiations as determined by Procurement Management for large, complex vendor contractsPartnering with Legal team to ensure contracts contain desired/required commercial termsStrategic Sourcing support (10%)Analyzing organizational spend trends to determine Strategic Sourcing opportunitiesImplementing Strategic Sourcing events, workshops, and activities for targeted spend categories to improve transparency and reportingDeveloping business cases and presenting recommendations to business leadersConducting vendor and supplier analyses, evaluating potential vendors, and supporting the vendor qualification process by utilizing metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activitiesEnsuring optimized organizational spend value through careful analysis and review of sourcing activitiesIdentifying opportunities to reduce billable and fixed rates, maintenance and supporting costs, and license feesImplementing approved process changesManaging the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of business leadersSeeking internal and external stakeholder inputWith guidance and input from procurement and business leaders, drafting and posting formal RFP documentsConducting proposal evaluation and recommendationsServing as primary contact with suppliers/program implementersAdministration/Operations support (10%)Supporting and managing a data repository and business intelligence toolsReleasing accurate, error-free reports on time to meet business needsDefining, measuring, and tracking categories for spending to provide targeted analyses of budgetCoordinating payment, delivery, scheduling, and organization of purchases, and placing orders to ensure ongoing supplyOverseeing all activities related to procurement of high-impact commodities and services, from intent to purchase through deliverySupporting the implementation of new and the management of existing supplier relationshipsThe Candidate:Required skills/qualifications:Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above 5-8 years of professional work-related experience in a relevant technical discipline where analysis of key data drives decisions of financial significanceExperience analyzing and drafting vendor contracts and agreementsExperience negotiating vendor contracts and agreementsAdvanced technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and ExcelExperience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, or similar)Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSuperior strategic sourcing experience involving spend analysis and complex, fact-based negotiationExceptional ability to engage with executives within and outside the companyExcellent analytical, judgment, and decision-making skillsHands-on attitudeSelf-direction, confidence, and initiative, as well as the ability to work with a team to achieve goals and objectivesStrong relationship-building skills and excellent interpersonal and influencing skillsCulturally astute, organizationally savvy, and adaptable; high emotional intelligenceExcellent organizational skills and
