Remote Job Opportunity: GitLab Foundation is hiring a Program Officer Working closely with nonprofits, community organisations, peer funders, and other stakeholders to promote partnerships and collaborations that optimise programme outcomes, the Programme Officer will oversee a varied portfolio of grants. Strategic thinking and operational execution are combined in this function, which calls for the person to manage the grant lifecycle and actively participate in field research, strategic planning, and funding partner collaborative design. In addition to handling grant administration and working with the Impact Measurement and Analytics team, the role entails procuring, assessing, and tracking investments as well as cultivating strong connections with possible grantees. It also entails putting forward recommendations to the executive leadership, creating efficient grantmaking plans, supporting the strategic orientation of the GitLab Foundation, and keeping abreast of developments in the field of economic mobility research and trends. To maximise the Foundation's effect, this position is essential. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain connections to increase our impact and influence. Create and preserve strategic connections with important decision-makers and peer funders; identify areas of mutual interest in order to plan or take part in co-investment initiatives. Actively seek out grantees' perspectives to ensure the Foundation stays aware of end-user issues and uses their firsthand knowledge to guide our priorities and investments. Encourage communication and cooperation amongst grantees, partners, and other ecosystem participants in order to maximise resources, exchange knowledge, and increase impact. Communicate the Foundation's mission, programme strategies, and impact while representing it at important gatherings and public forums. Make recommendations to the senior leadership that are consistent with the portfolio strategy; when required, prepare reports and presentations for the GitLab Foundation Board. Additional Information Host Institution: GitLab Foundation Program Type: Fully Funded Standards, Pay, and Perquisites: Fully distant (requires a base of operations in one of the US, Colombia, or Kenya geographic markets) Exempt full-time position (according to national regulations) Depending on experience, region, and other factors (performance-based), the salary range is $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
