International Remote Software Engineer

Break Sports is hiring a remote software engineer to develop our sports and recreation operating system. About Us Break Sports is a mission-driven platform focused on making recreational sports accessible to everyone. We provide players with a new way to discover free-to-join clubs based on location, skill level, and interest, aiming to connect and build communities through sports. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced remote Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web applications, including Node, Express, Koa, React, and Next. Responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications using Node, Express, Koa, React, and Next. Handle a range of projects, from small bug fixes to large-scale feature implementations. Collaborate with other engineers and designers to develop new features. Review and enhance existing code. Mentor and support junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer. Experience working with remote teams. Strong knowledge of JavaScript libraries and web applications. Experience with scheduling systems and/or payment systems is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Availability to work core hours of 9am - 12pm Pacific Time.
