About Us Founded in 2014, Tachyus is a leader in operational optimization for the oil and gas industry. Our flagship product, Aqueon , is a waterflood modeling and optimization platform powered by our proprietary Data Physics engine, which has increased production and reduced costs and GHG emissions for operators worldwide. We've recently extended Aqueon for CO2 EOR optimization, already in use by major operators in the U.S. In early 2022, we expanded into the ESG space with Aurion , a fully integrated software platform that helps GHG-intensive industries like oil and gas estimate, forecast, optimize, and report GHG emissions and intensity. Since then, we've rapidly established ourselves as a leader with over 20 clients across the U.S., Middle East, and Latin America. About the Role We are a dynamic technology company driven by innovation and excellence. Our success hinges on the expertise and dedication of our engineering team. We empower our engineers to turn our vision into reality, offering the chance to make significant contributions while fostering collaboration and best practices. Our core "Data Physics" algorithms—a fusion of Python and MATLAB—tackle complex oil field challenges using highly parallelizable, dynamic computing environments. From Windows development to Linux-based deployment, our engineers work within a microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes, optimizing cloud-scale operations. Key Responsibilities Architecting and implementing scalable cloud-native solutions within Kubernetes. Assist in the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for microservices and algorithms. Manage production and staging environments, optimizing resource utilization in both public cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Collaborate with the platform software teams to ensure smooth and efficient application deployment and scalability. Develop and maintain monitoring and tracing solutions for all production systems. Understand and contribute to containerizing a cloud platform containing diverse applications and technologies. Be a DevOps champion by promoting DevOps practices within the team and collaborating closely with other engineers. Evaluate and implement new tools, techniques, and technologies within the container and Kubernetes ecosystem.
