Job Description Global Category Specialist Tech & IT POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Global Category Specialist Tech & IT at NIQ, you will support development and implementation of global category and subcategory strategies in collaboration with the Global Procurement Director Tech & IT, CTO Direct reports, and business stakeholders.
This position will manage and lead global category initiatives and projects.
You will lead contract negotiations, specification definition, monitor supplier performance, specification development and demand management, support development of innovation programs, manage supplier risks and conduct regular business reviews.
Key Responsibilities : Tech & IT Category Sourcing Plan Support in analysis of supply market, understanding product/services being purchase within category, internal demand/specification, and internal best practices Identify and analyze strategic sourcing options under the guidance of the Global Category Director Run and support tender process, including seeking approvals from Global Category Director, SVP Global Procurement and other internal stakeholders as required Challenge and provide options on current working practices, specifications and demands for category Harmonize specification(s) with business stakeholders to standardize demand Contract Development Create negotiation plan and support Global Category Director with supplier negotiations Ensure adherence to signing authorities Communicate contracts to relevant stakeholders Supplier Development Manage relationship with preferred suppliers Support Global Category Director with regular performance reviews of preferred suppliers Support actions on continuous improvement plan with preferred suppliers Support development of alternative suppliers Support development and implementation of contract KPI's Contract Lifecycle Management Lead contract drafting, reviews, proactive contract renewals, ensure contracts are updated in the system Conduct supplier compliance reviews (i.e.
use of supplier within sites, payment terms in the system) Qualifications Required Qualifications: Language Proficiency: Advanced level of English is mandatory.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Global Procurement role, with a specific focus on the Tech & IT Category, is essential.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Technical Business Administration or related fields is required.
Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of technologies and solutions pertinent to the Tech & IT sector In-depth knowledge of key sourcing processes and tools Proficient understanding of contractual and legal aspects in procurement Communication Skills: Exemplary written and verbal communication abilities are crucial.
The candidate must demonstrate the capacity to articulate complex findings in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in managing both internal and external stakeholder relationships is imperative.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills necessary to excel in this critical role within our global procurement team.
