Requisition ID: 201304 Purpose You will be part of the Resilience Analytics team within Technology Internal Controls and Regulatory Management (ICRM) for Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) at Scotiabank. The team plays a crucial role in the Bank's Risk Governance Framework, focusing on technology risk domains like Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Software Currency, Disaster and Backup Recovery, Third Party Management, and Audit and Regulatory issue remediation. The Resilience Analytics team is responsible for designing metrics, analyzing data, and providing insights to executives, execution teams, board representatives, and external regulators. The role involves working with various stakeholders globally to ensure system stability and resiliency. Accountabilities Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Finds patterns in chaos to recommend areas for risk mitigation and technology stability improvement. Acts as a subject matter expert in business process transformation, focusing on data gathering and consolidation to understand Technology Service Performance and key risk areas. Innovates to streamline and automate processes within Resilience Analytics, emphasizing data quality dimensions. Guides the engineering team in technical design for data solutions and dashboard presentation. Promotes processes to enhance data quality and collaborates with stakeholders for continuous improvements. Provides quality reporting for various risk departments and lines of businesses. Frames documents effectively for the intended audience. Reporting Relationships Primary Manager: Director, Resilience Analytics Technology Resilience and Reliability Dimensions Reporting to the Director, Resilience Data Analytics, the Data Analytics Solution Expert (DASE) will contribute significantly to the success of Technology Internal Controls and Regulatory Management for GTEP. The role involves ensuring the execution of goals, plans, and initiatives in alignment with the team's strategies and objectives, while complying with regulations and internal policies. The position focuses on driving a data-driven approach to technology resiliency, leading key initiatives, designing metrics, working on data solutions, and creating dashboards. Daily tasks include reviewing dashboards and data to identify potential risk areas, providing insights, and preparing presentations and reports for risk committees and regulators. Education / Experience / Other Information 5+ years of experience as a technical or business analyst in a data analytics environment. Progressive hands-on experience in Business/System Analysis with a focus on process design and organizational change management in a large technology environment. Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) and technical data solutions like ETL and data visualization tools. Proficiency in writing and presenting to executive-level audiences, with the ability to synthesize information effectively. Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills, leadership experience, and ITIL Foundations certification. Post-secondary education, familiarity with business analysis, and technical aspects of data analytics. Project Management or Risk Management experience is an asset. Organizational change management and facilitation experience are desirable.
