Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all financial operations and ensure the company's financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and finance, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and a professional accounting certification. This role involves managing all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, and tax operations, providing financial analysis and insights to senior management, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee accounting, finance, treasury, and tax operations, including managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and expense reports. Budgeting and Reporting: Create, maintain, and analyze budgets; prepare financial statements and reports. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations; manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities. Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to the senior management team, identifying trends, performance metrics, and potential risks or opportunities. Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Month-End Close: Oversee month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, including ledger scrutiny and reconciliation of accounts. KPI Implementation: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the company's financial health. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Qualifications: 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role. Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent). Excellent understanding of US GAAP and experience in a public, American, and audited company. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, HubSpot, and advanced Excel skills. Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial data clearly. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Nice-to-Haves: Experience at a company that sells goods, with familiarity in issuing/responding to POs, invoices, and bills of lading. Experience in the IT hardware industry, particularly data centers or AI. Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raise experience.
