Job Description As a Bid Specialist you will work together with the solution consultant and sales team to create and activate the bidding strategy on each opportunity to win projects. Your Responsibilities: You will develop and create proposals for automation solutions. You will evaluate customer RFQs to create an advantageous position for Rockwell Automation. You will discover and understand customer's primary goals, operations, challenges, and requirements. You will align and apply the entire scope of Rockwell products, solutions, and services to meet the customer's needs. You will validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid. You will provide technical support to the sales group, participate in site visits, and technical discussions with customers/consultants. You will achieve validation of technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid. You will build requests for approvals on bids following the established approval process. You will work with partners to obtain competitive pricing from third-party suppliers. You will work with the Project Management and Engineering teams to ensure correct estimation for time and resources required for projects. You may contribute to customer negotiations during the bidding phase. You will manage bids/proposals. The Essentials - You will have: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or any other related field. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: 3+ years of experience in a large industrial systems and automation solutions delivery business. 2 years of experience in project execution related to industrial automation (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems), Engineering, FAT, SAT, SIT, system architecture preparation, Drives Selection, and other components of automation systems) within different industries such as Consumer Goods, Mining, Chemical, and other industries.
