About the Role As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for building automation and tools to manage our cloud resources in Microsoft Azure. You will work on supporting our legacy environment of Windows VMs and MSSQL DBs, as well as developing infrastructure to support our next generation of SaaS products utilising Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch and CosmosDB. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for managing Azure cloud resources. Create and maintain infrastructure as code using ARM templates and Terraform. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and automation tools. Document processes, procedures, and best practices for automation and cloud management. Requirements: Proven experience in managing and automating cloud resources in Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. Strong knowledge of ARM templates and Terraform. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Additional Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
