We are looking for a high-energy individual to join our team as a Community Marketing Associate. This individual will be a driving force for maximizing the impact of our network, engaging the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and building the Access brand.
Our network is our most strategic asset that we constantly nurture and grow through our interactions with entrepreneurs, customers, investors, and through community initiatives. We leverage our network to source investment opportunities, research and diligence those opportunities, recruit talent to our portfolio companies, and raise funds for the portfolio and Access itself.
Your role will be to work with the team to define, coordinate, and execute a strategy to engage our network and the broader community in a way that extends our impact and creates value for those we interact with.
This role is perfect for someone earlier in their career who is hungry to learn and get involved in the venture and startup community. This is a two-year role with potential for extension. Following this opportunity, future career paths could include progressing in venture outside of Access or joining a startup.
Some specific responsibilities will include: Act as an ambassador for AccessGrow and manage relationships with our Access networkManage our contact databaseReach out and set appointments with new prospects (founders, investors, partners)Coordinate the creation and distribution of monthly newsletter updatesEffectively use technology to execute a direct messaging effort to founders, investors, etc. that we want to bring into our networkManage our digital presence and extend the Access brandCoordinate the updating of our websiteWrite engaging blog contentMaintain and manage the Access brand on social media platformsCoordinate with our portfolio companies to distribute and amplify their marketing and recruiting messages through social media and direct email to our contact databaseOrganize monthly events, workshops, dinners, and other social gatherings with curated groups of entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and other thought leadersHelp define and execute a strategy for network buildingThis role is for you if: You are based in the Greater Denver Area (and willing to travel as needed)You are interested in technology and comfortable evaluating and applying innovative tools in your workYou are comfortable and competent at managing a large contact databaseYou are comfortable cold-calling prospectsYou are meticulous and detail-oriented and can handle multi-taskingYou have the self-confidence to communicate effectively with senior executivesYou enjoy writing and have experience with developing compelling contentYou are a connector and thrive on networking and engaging with peopleYou believe that who you know is as important as what you knowYou love to throw a great partyYou are bold and can operate independently and take the initiative to implement things from scratch with limited directionThis role is not: An investment role. You may work with the investors on top of funnel process and operations, but will not be responsible for sourcing or evaluating companies.A backfill.
